Ann E. Gordon is a Speech-Language Pathologist whose corporation Ann E. Gordon Associates - Speech-Language Pathologists/Myofunctional Therapists services patients throughout Long Island. She has been a Speech-Language Pathologist since 1972 and began her private practice in 1978 on a full-time basis. Ms. Gordon served as President of the Long Island Speech-Language-Hearing Association in 1987-88 and received Honors of the Association in 1991.

Ms. Gordon has been a consultant to the Child Mental Health and Developmental Team at Stony Brook University, a consultant at Solomon Schechter Day School of Nassau County and served on a Health Advisory Board for Head Start. Ms. Gordon studied at the Institute for Myofunctional Therapy in 1980 and has been actively pursuing this specialty of Speech-Language Pathology with participation in the International Association of Orofacial Myologists. In addition, childhood apraxia of speech and treatment of vocal nodules has been a specialty of the practice. For the past 10 years, our focus has been to address Central Auditory Processing Disorders as they relate to achieving academic success. Computer technology, such as the Fast ForWord Programs and Auditory Integration Training, has enabled us to be instrumental in remediating speech, language and reading processing disorders. More importantly, we pride ourselves in our personal dedication to the children and adults we serve.
